  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare pie shell for blind baking.
  • Melt semisweet chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  • Whisk together granulated sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, then combine with evaporated milk and vanilla extract.
  • Pour melted chocolate mixture into egg mixture and whisk until combined.
  • Gradually combine wet mixture with dry ingredients until smooth.
