Description

This Creamy Alfredo is rich and flavorful, made with butter, cream, and parmesan. Perfect for a quick dinner or a comforting meal, it’s easy and satisfying.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • up to 1/4 cup hot milk (optional) or pasta water
  • 1 pkg fettuccine noodles – cooked to package directions
  • freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the minced garlic. Let it simmer for about a minute.
  • Stir in the cream and half and half, whisking until fully combined, then gently simmer.
  • Add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the mixture and whisk well.
  • Incorporate the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt slowly while stirring.
  • Once the cheese is melted and not stringy, whisk in small amounts of hot milk or pasta water until the desired sauce thickness is reached.
  • Toss the sauce with the cooked fettuccine noodles and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use freshly grated parmesan cheese.
Adjust the consistency of the sauce with additional hot milk or pasta water as needed.
Garnish with extra cheese or herbs for added flavor.
