Description

This Easy Honey Garlic Shrimp is a delightful blend of sweet honey and savory garlic. With simple ingredients and quick prep time, it’s a perfect choice for a satisfying dinner or appetizer, elevating your meals effortlessly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 garlic cloves (finely grated)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (finely grated)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 scallions (thinly sliced)
  • Toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl; set aside.
  • Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  • Flip shrimp and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until pink and curled; remove from skillet.
  • Pour honey garlic sauce into the skillet and cook for 3 minutes until thickened.
  • Return shrimp to the skillet, stir to coat, and heat for 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve shrimp garnished with scallions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Fresh shrimp provides the best flavor; frozen can be used if thawed properly.
Adjust the salt based on personal preference and the type of soy sauce used.
For added freshness, serve immediately after cooking.
