Description

These delightful French Toast Cups are a charming twist on classic French toast. Made with fluffy brioche, custardy goodness, and topped with your favorite treats, they are perfect for brunch or a cozy breakfast. Simple to prepare and absolutely irresistible!

Ingredients

  • Brioche or Challah Bread (8–10 thick slices, cut into cubes)
  • Large Eggs (4)
  • Whole Milk (1 cup / 240 ml)
  • Granulated Sugar (1 tbsp)
  • Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
  • Ground Cinnamon (1/2 tsp)
  • Nutmeg (1/4 tsp)
  • Pinch of Salt (1/8 tsp)
  • Butter or Cooking Spray (about 1 tbsp butter, or enough spray to coat)
  • Maple Syrup, Powdered Sugar, or Berries (for serving, to taste)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  • Cut bread slices into quarters and press them into muffin cups to form a cup shape.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the pressed bread cups.
  • Press down gently on the bread to soak it.
  • Bake for 22-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  • Cool for a few minutes, then remove from the tin.
  • Serve warm with toppings of your choice.

Notes

Use fresh brioche or challah for the best texture and flavor.
Customize flavors by experimenting with spices like nutmeg or adding cocoa powder for a twist.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature.
