Description

This Healthy Crockpot Tater Tot Casserole combines cheesy goodness, crispy tater tots, and seasoned ground beef for a delightful meal that’s easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 32 ounces frozen tater tots
  • 1 pound ground beef (browned and drained)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 10.5 ounces cheese sauce
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • ½ tablespoon minced onion
  • Freshly chopped cilantro (optional garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crockpot: Lightly spray the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Layer Tater Tots: Spread half of the frozen tater tots at the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Combine Beef Mixture: Mix browned ground beef, cheese sauce, taco seasoning, minced onion, and half of the shredded cheese in a bowl.
  • Spread Beef Mixture: Spoon the beef mixture over the tater tots evenly.
  • Add Remaining Tater Tots: Top with the remaining tater tots in a single layer.
  • Cheese It Up: Sprinkle the rest of the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Cook & Serve: Cover and cook on HIGH for 2½ hours until the cheese is bubbly.

Notes

To store, let cool, then refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 20 minutes or until warmed through.
