  • 1 pepper
  • A pack of your favourite sausages (6 or 8, or 12 are fine for this recipe)
  • 1 tsp garlic puree (or 1 fresh, crushed clove)
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 400ml tin baked beans
  • 1 400ml tin chopped tomatoes

Instructions

  • Cut the onion and pepper into bite-sized pieces based on your family's preference.
  • Heat oil in a large frying pan.
  • Add sausages, stirring to coat in oil, and cook until browned on one side.
  • Add the onions to the pan, stirring sausages to brown uncooked sides.
  • Continue cooking until sausages are thoroughly cooked and onions are browned.
  • Stir in chopped pepper, sugar, garlic puree, tomato puree, paprika, and thyme; cook for one minute.
  • Add chopped tomatoes, baked beans, and Worcestershire sauce to the mixture.
  • Cover the pan and cook on low for 5-10 minutes until the dish thickens and is heated through.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes and buttered bread.

Feel free to mix and match different types of sausages for added flavor.
