- 1 pepper
- A pack of your favourite sausages (6 or 8, or 12 are fine for this recipe)
- 1 tsp garlic puree (or 1 fresh, crushed clove)
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 400ml tin baked beans
- 1 400ml tin chopped tomatoes
Instructions
- Cut the onion and pepper into bite-sized pieces based on your family's preference.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan.
- Add sausages, stirring to coat in oil, and cook until browned on one side.
- Add the onions to the pan, stirring sausages to brown uncooked sides.
- Continue cooking until sausages are thoroughly cooked and onions are browned.
- Stir in chopped pepper, sugar, garlic puree, tomato puree, paprika, and thyme; cook for one minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes, baked beans, and Worcestershire sauce to the mixture.
- Cover the pan and cook on low for 5-10 minutes until the dish thickens and is heated through.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and buttered bread.
