Instructions
- Peel and slice the carrots into 1/2 inch thick pieces.
- In a skillet, add water and carrots, cover, and cook for 5 minutes over medium heat.
- Drain excess water, return the pan to heat, and add butter to melt.
- Sprinkle in salt, pepper, and minced garlic; stir well and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Finish with fresh herbs and sauté for another minute before serving.
Notes
Store leftover sautéed carrots in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge.
Add a splash of lemon juice before serving for extra brightness.
For a sweeter option, mix in maple syrup or honey while sautéing.
