Description

Enjoy a mouthwatering Simple Air Fryer Roast Chicken with succulent flavors and a crispy skin! Quick prep and easy cooking make this dish ideal for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole chicken (3.5 pounds, giblets removed)
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1.5 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Dry the chicken with paper towels.
  2. Pierce the lemon half with a knife a few times, then place it in the cavity of the chicken.
  3. With the chicken breast side up, rub half of the softened butter over it and season generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Flip the chicken over, butter the underside, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.
  6. Place the chicken breast side down in the air fryer basket and cook for 30 minutes.
  7. Flip the chicken to breast side up and cook for an additional 25 minutes, or until golden and an instant-read thermometer reads at least 160°F.
  8. Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving to allow the juices to redistribute.

Notes

For added flavor, you can include herbs like rosemary or thyme inside the cavity.
Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F for safe consumption.
Resting the chicken is key to juicy meat.
