- 8 oz. ghiradelli semi-sweet chocolate baking squares
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6 cups whole milk
- 1 cup baileys® irish cream
- marshmallows or whipped cream
Instructions
- Break up the chocolate squares and add them to the slow cooker.
- Add the remaining ingredients except for the Baileys Irish Cream.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 1.5 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
- Once the cocoa is hot, stir in the Baileys Irish Cream.
- Serve in mugs with whipped cream and a bowl of marshmallows alongside for guests to help themselves.
- Set the slow cooker to warm for your gathering, keeping it hot for up to 3 hours. Stir often.
Notes
For an extra touch, top with chocolate shavings or powdered cocoa before serving.
You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.
