Description

These Strawberry Shortcake Oreo Balls are irresistible! With golden Oreos, cream cheese, and the crunch of freeze-dried strawberries, they make a delightful treat that’s easy to prepare and perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 golden oreo cookies finely crushed (15.25 oz pkg.)
  • 8 oz. brick cream cheese softened
  • 1 lb. almond bark candi-quik, melted
  • 12 oz freeze dried strawberries finely crushed

Instructions

  • Crush the Golden Oreo cookies using a blender or a food processor, or smash them in a sealed plastic bag with a meat mallet until fine.
  • Combine the crushed cookies with the softened cream cheese and mix until well blended.
  • Crush the freeze-dried strawberries and add them to the cookie mixture, blending well.
  • Using a cookie scoop, measure out about 1.5 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the balls on a parchment or wax paper-lined cookie sheet.
  • Freeze the balls for about 20-30 minutes before dipping them in the chocolate.
  • Melt the candy coating in the microwave for about 1 minute 20 seconds, stirring gently until smooth. Return to the microwave in 15-second increments if necessary.
  • Dip each ball into the melted chocolate and place them back on the lined pan.
  • To drizzle, add a few drops of pink or red food coloring to the leftover melted white chocolate, spoon it into a plastic ziplock bag, and drizzle it over each Oreo ball. Crush reserved Oreo cookie cream filling and sprinkle on top.
  • Once the chocolate coating and drizzle have set, trim off any excess chocolate pooled around the bases for a neat appearance.

Notes

For a decorative touch, consider using colored chocolate to drizzle over the balls.
Ensure the Oreo balls are well-frozen before dipping in chocolate to avoid melting.
Experiment with different types of chocolate for a unique flavor.
