Description

These Valentine’s Day Truffles are a delightful treat featuring a creamy filling of cream cheese and Oreo cookies, all coated in luscious white chocolate. Perfect for sharing or savoring yourself, these truffles are easy to make and sure to impress anyone with their sweet flavor and charming appearance.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 vanilla oreos about 15 ounces
  • 1 8-ounce block cream cheese softened
  • 1416 ounces white chocolate melts
  • red oil-based food coloring optional
  • sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Prepare a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Crush the Oreos in a food processor until they turn into fine crumbs, doing this in 10-second increments.
  • Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a mixing bowl and combine with cream cheese. Using your hands can help mix them thoroughly.
  • Scoop the mixture using a 1.5-tablespoon cookie scoop, rolling them into smooth balls, and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes or refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20-second intervals and stirring, or use a double boiler method until fully melted.
  • If coloring the chocolate, add a small amount of food coloring after it is melted, stirring until you achieve the desired shade.
  • Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork, coating completely and tapping off any excess, then place them back on the sheet.
  • If adding a drizzle, chill the truffles briefly before decorating them.
  • Sprinkle any toppings while the chocolate is still wet, allowing the chocolate to set at room temperature for about 2 hours.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
If you don’t have chocolate melts, regular white chocolate can be used but will require careful melting to prevent burning.
Store any leftover truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
