- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 medium zucchinis, thinly sliced
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a pan over medium heat, brown the ground beef and season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer zucchini slices over the sauce.
- Spread half of the cooked ground beef over the zucchini layers.
- Add dollops of ricotta cheese evenly across the beef.
- Repeat the layering process, finishing with a layer of zucchini slices on top.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on the top layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Allow the dish to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using fresh herbs instead of dried ones.
Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
