Description

These Acorn Donut Holes are a scrumptious treat made with glazed donut holes, melted chocolate, and sprinkles! They’re perfect for parties, quick snacks, or a fun activity with kids. Just dip and decorate for a delightful dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 glazed donut holes
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips
  • 1020 pretzel sticks
  • ¾ cup chocolate jimmies sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Snap pretzel sticks in half if they are long, using 10 instead of 20 sticks.
  2. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Pour chocolate sprinkles into a separate bowl and set aside.
  4. Dip the top of each donut hole into the melted chocolate fully coating the tip, then scrape off excess.
  5. Immediately dip the chocolate-covered donut hole into the sprinkles so they adhere to the chocolate.
  6. Gently press a pretzel stick into the chocolate end of the donut hole to create the acorn stem.
  7. Place the completed acorn donut holes on a parchment-lined tray and repeat until finished.
  8. Refrigerate or freeze for 5 minutes to set the chocolate or enjoy immediately while slightly melty.

Notes

Use longer pretzel sticks for larger acorn stems.
If the chocolate doesn’t melt easily, consider warming it slightly in the microwave longer or using a double boiler.
Experiment with different types of sprinkles for varied effects.
