- 1 cup diced apples
- 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup 2% blended cottage cheese
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon almond milk, plain, unsweetened
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375℉.
- Combine diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss to coat the apples.
- Add flour, baking powder, and salt to the apple mixture. Stir to combine.
- Incorporate the blended cottage cheese, mixing with a spoon until a dough forms. Knead gently in the bowl.
- Flour a surface lightly, then turn out the dough and divide it into 4 pieces.
- Shape 2 pieces of dough into round fritters on parchment paper.
- Air fry the fritters at 375℉ for 4 minutes on one side, flip and cook for another 4 minutes until golden.
- While fritters are cooking, mix powdered sugar and almond milk for the glaze in a bowl.
- Once fritters are ready, dip them in the glaze and place them on a wire rack.
- Let the glaze set for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Feel free to use different types of apples based on your preference.
Ensure the fritters are cooked until golden brown for the best texture.
Adjust the glaze consistency by adding more or less almond milk.
