- 1 tablespoon softened butter or mayo
- 2–3 slices cheese (sharp cheddar, American, provolone, Swiss, gouda, or a combo)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 370°F for 3–5 minutes.
- Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread. Place one slice butter-side down, layer with cheese, and top with the second slice butter-side up. Press gently and secure with a toothpick.
- Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 370°F for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3–4 minutes until both sides are golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from air fryer, take out the toothpick, slice, and serve.
