Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound salmon, (4) 4-ounce filets
  • 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  2. Combine the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel. Brush about 1/2 teaspoon of mustard onto each salmon filet. Sprinkle each filet with 1/4 of the spice mixture and let sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Place the salmon in the air fryer, ensuring they are spaced about an inch apart. If necessary, cook in batches.
  5. Cook for 6-8 minutes, until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees F.
  6. Remove the cooked salmon from the air fryer and place on a plate. Cover with aluminum foil while cooking any remaining pieces. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Ensure the salmon is patted dry for the best spice adherence.
Feel free to substitute the spices based on your preference for heat.
For added flavor, marinate the salmon in the mustard and spice mix for longer than 10 minutes.
