  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 ½3 cups diced apples, cut into ¼-inch chunks
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 24 tbsp heavy cream or milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan, ensuring it's the right size for baking. Measure accurately.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Melt the butter and add it to the mixture along with baking powder and granulated sugar. Stir until combined.
  5. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, sour cream, and milk to the batter and mix well.
  6. Fold in the diced apples gently until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-50 minutes until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool before icing with a mixture of powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cream.
