- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
- Unfold the thawed sheets of puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Use a rolling pin to smooth out creases and gently roll out the pastry.
- Pour half of the melted butter onto each puff pastry sheet and spread it evenly with a pastry brush. Sprinkle half of the garlic salt, white cheddar, and parmesan cheese on each sheet.
- With a pizza cutter, slice the pastry into 3/4" wide strips. Twist each strip and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Brush the mixture onto the puff pastry for an egg wash.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until puffed and lightly golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese for added flavor.
