- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 cup sour cream, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate chunks
- 2 oz chopped walnuts
- 2 oz white chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 10×5 loaf pan and lightly dust with flour.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
- Stir in the mashed bananas, sour cream, sea salt, and baking soda until fully combined.
- Add the flour and cinnamon, mixing gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks, walnuts, and white chocolate chunks, reserving some for garnish if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Top with extra chocolate chunks and walnuts, if desired.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs. Let cool before slicing.
Notes
Ensure the bananas are very ripe for the best flavor and sweetness.
If you like, you can add more nuts or chocolate on top before baking for extra texture.
Let the bread cool completely before slicing to get the best texture.
