Description

This Cranberry Apple Walnut Stuffing is a delightful blend of sweet apples, tart cranberries, and crunchy walnuts. It’s quick to prepare and perfect for cozy dinners and holiday feasts, making it a comforting choice for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Large onion
  • Apple
  • Garlic cloves
  • Rosemary
  • Cranberry walnut bread
  • Egg
  • Heavy cream
  • Chicken stock
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Olive oil spray or cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté chopped onions until translucent.
  • Add diced apple and cook until softened, then stir in minced garlic and rosemary.
  • In a large bowl, combine cubed cranberry walnut bread and onion mixture.
  • Whisk together egg, heavy cream, chicken stock, salt, and pepper; pour over the bread and mix.
  • Transfer to a greased baking dish and spray the top with olive oil.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until edges are browned.

Notes

You can prepare the stuffing a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free cranberry walnut bread or any firm gluten-free bread.
Add extra chicken stock if the mixture seems too dry before baking.
