- ¼ cup salt
- water
Instructions
- Sort through the raw peanuts, removing any debris or stray shells.
- Rinse the peanuts and soak them in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain.
- Place the peanuts in the crockpot and add salt. Cover with water, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
- Set the crockpot to high and cook for approximately 7½ hours until the peanuts reach your desired tenderness.
- Taste the peanuts halfway through and add more salt if necessary, stirring to mix.
- Ensure the peanuts remain submerged by adding water as needed while cooking.
- Once tender and seasoned, drain the peanuts and enjoy warm or save for later snacking.
Notes
Feel free to adjust the salt according to your taste preferences.
Keep an eye on the cooking time; some may prefer firmer peanuts, while others want them very soft.
These can be stored in the fridge for a few days for easy snacking.
