- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup milk

- 1 teaspoon almond extract optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325℉ and grease a 9×13-inch pan. See notes below if making a layered cake.
- In a stand mixer bowl or a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, flour, and sugar.
- Add in the sour cream, milk, egg whites, melted butter, and both extracts if using.
- Beat the mixture for 1 minute, scraping the sides halfway through.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 28-32 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting.
