Description

This Fig and Prosciutto Crostini features a wonderful blend of savory prosciutto, sweet figs, and creamy Gorgonzola. Perfect for quick appetizers or snacks!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons pistachios, toasted
  • 1 small baguette, cut into 1/2" slices
  • 6 slices prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise
  • 6 large figs, cut into slices
  • 4 ounces Gorgonzola cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Roughly chop the pistachios and add to a sauté pan over medium heat. Toast until fragrant and lightly golden brown, stirring frequently. Set aside to cool.
  3. Arrange the baguette slices on a small baking sheet and toast in the oven for 6-7 minutes, or until golden brown on the edges. Remove and let cool for a few minutes.
  4. On each toasted crostini, layer a half slice of prosciutto, 3-4 fig slices, and about 1/2 tablespoon of Gorgonzola cheese. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with toasted pistachios.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to substitute goat cheese for Gorgonzola if preferred.
Ensure the baguette slices are evenly toasted for the best texture.
This dish is best served fresh but can be prepared a few minutes ahead.
