Description

French Onion Pasta offers an irresistible blend of sweet caramelized onions, creamy sauce, and pasta, making it the ideal comfort food for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Butter
  • Yellow Onions
  • Garlic
  • Beef Broth
  • Shell Pasta
  • Dried Thyme
  • Heavy Cream
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Fresh Parsley

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over low heat and caramelize sliced onions for 25-30 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant.
  • Deglaze the skillet with a splash of beef broth, scraping the bottom for flavor.
  • Stir in the remaining beef broth, shell pasta, and thyme, then simmer for 10-15 minutes until pasta is tender.
  • Mix in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until heated through and creamy.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Keep the heat low while caramelizing onions to prevent burning.
Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for 3 months.
For creaminess, let heavy cream and Parmesan come to room temperature before mixing.
