Description

Grandma’s Thanksgiving Stuffing is a flavorful blend of bread, onion, and herbs, creating a comforting dish perfect for holiday feasts. Easy to prepare and cherished by many, this stuffing will be the highlight of your Thanksgiving table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 cups dry bread cubes
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups onion, 1/2" diced
  • 2 cups celery, 1/2" diced
  • 3 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 to 4 cups chicken broth, divided
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut the bread into 1/2" to 3/4" cubes using a serrated knife and spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  3. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about an hour, tossing occasionally, until completely dry.
  4. Set the toasted bread aside while preparing the other ingredients.

Notes

For best results, use a mix of different types of bread for added flavor.
You can prepare the bread cubes a day ahead and store them in an airtight container.
Adjust the broth according to your preferred stuffing consistency.
