Description
This Grilled Corn on the Cob offers an irresistible flavor with simple prep. Featuring fresh corn, butter, and your choice of seasonings, it’s perfect for a quick, delicious outdoor meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 full-size corn on the cob (ears)
- ¼ tsp oil (if using a griddle pan, otherwise optional)
- 30 g butter or dairy free alternative
- seasoning (salt/pepper/herbs/chilli flakes/etc)
Instructions
- Prepare and gather all butters and seasonings beforehand.
- If necessary, prepare corn by peeling back the husk to clean the kernels and remove silk and tassels.
- Preheat your barbecue, grill, or griddle pan to high heat.
- If using a griddle pan, brush it lightly with oil. For BBQ or grill, oil is optional but can be used for quicker cooking.
- Place corn cobs onto the grill, under the kitchen grill, or in the griddle pan.
- Turn frequently, cooking until the corn is deep yellow, juicy, and has slight charring. Ensure it cooks for a maximum of 8 to 10 minutes to avoid drying out.
- Remove corn from heat and serve immediately with butter and seasoning.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with different butters (herb, garlic, etc.) and seasonings for variety.
For best results, ensure your grill or pan is adequately preheated before adding the corn.
Check corn frequently to avoid overcooking.
