Description

These Grilled Shrimp Skewers offer a delightful combination of succulent shrimp, aromatic garlic, and zesty lemon. Perfect for a quick meal or outdoor gatherings, they are easy to prepare and absolutely delicious!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail on
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice from 1 lemon, about 3 Tablespoons of juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground or cracked pepper
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat. Allow to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  3. Thread the shrimp onto metal or soaked wooden skewers and discard the marinade.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, then place the shrimp skewers on the grill.
  5. Cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve hot with lemon wedges, if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
These skewers can be served with a side salad for a complete meal.
