Description

This Honey Garlic Chicken boasts tender chicken coated in a sweet and savory glaze, perfect for a quick and delicious weeknight dinner that will delight family and friends.

Ingredients

  • Chicken Thighs or Breasts
  • Honey
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Soy Sauce
  • Olive Oil
  • Ginger (optional)
  • Cornstarch (optional)
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Green Onions (optional)

Instructions

  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides and let sit briefly.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger (if using).
  • Remove chicken and pour sauce into the skillet, scraping brown bits. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional minute.
  • Plate the chicken and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

Use pure honey for the best flavor; agave or maple syrup can be substituted.
For a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water and stir during simmering.
Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 4 days.
