- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 green onions (optional, chopped)
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides and let sit briefly.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes per side until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger (if using).
- Remove chicken and pour sauce into the skillet, scraping brown bits. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional minute.
- Plate the chicken and garnish with sliced green onions.
Notes
Use pure honey for the best flavor; agave or maple syrup can be substituted.
For a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water and stir during simmering.
