These Matcha Brownies are rich and flavorful, featuring a delightful blend of white chocolate and matcha powder, making them a quick and delicious dessert for any occasion.

- 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp matcha powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and white chocolate chips together until smooth, then stir in the matcha powder until well combined and set aside to cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and kosher salt.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing everything together until completely combined.
- Gently fold in the flour until there are no streaks of flour left.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish evenly.
- Drizzle the slightly cooled matcha ganache over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
For a stronger matcha flavor, you can increase the matcha powder to 3 tablespoons.
Make sure to let the brownies cool completely for easier cutting into squares.
