Description

This Peach Cobbler combines fresh peaches with sweet sugars and a buttery batter for a dessert that’s easy to prepare. Perfect for sharing at any occasion, this comforting treat is best enjoyed warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh peach slices peeled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat for 3–4 minutes till the sugar melts and the mixture is warm.
  3. Pour melted butter into the bottom of the prepared baking dish without stirring it in.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, and milk until smooth. Pour this over the melted butter in the pan without stirring.
  5. Evenly spoon the peach mixture over the batter, adding a bit of juice if desired. Top with remaining brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Bake in the oven for 38–42 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbling at the edges.
  7. Allow cooling for a few minutes before serving warm, ideally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Ensure the peaches are ripe for maximum flavor.
For added richness, use whole milk instead of low-fat milk.
Let cobbler rest for a few minutes before serving to set the filling.
