Description

This Peach Jam is incredibly flavorful and easy to prepare. Made with fresh peaches, sugar, and lemon juice, it offers a delightful taste for toast and desserts, perfect for homemade gifts or adding sweetness to your breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 24 ounces fresh peaches (1 ½ pounds), peeled, pitted, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1.75 ounces sure-jell powdered pectin
  • 3 ½ cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel, pit, and dice the peaches, then place them in a large pot. Crush the peaches until they reach your desired consistency using a potato masher or fork.
  2. Stir in the lemon juice and pectin until everything is evenly mixed.
  3. Set the pot over medium-high heat and stir constantly as the mixture heats up until it reaches a boil.
  4. Add the sugar all at once, stirring until completely dissolved.
  5. Return the mixture to a full rolling boil and boil for 1 minute, continuing to stir to prevent sticking.
  6. Remove from heat and skim off any foam that forms on the surface.
  7. Pour the hot jam into clean mason jars, leaving about ¼ inch of space at the top. Wipe the rims clean and seal the jars with their lids.
  8. Allow the jars to cool to room temperature before storing them in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Notes

Make sure to use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
