Description

This Peach Preserves brings out the irresistible taste of summer with juicy peaches, a hint of lemon, and simple ingredients. Perfect for spreading on toast or adding to desserts, it’s a delightful homemade treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 peaches, diced into 2” cubes
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ½ lemon, zest

Instructions

  1. Combine diced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a large saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a rapid boil and let it boil for 20 minutes while stirring every couple of minutes. Use a wooden spoon to help break down the peaches until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  3. Pour the preserves into a large glass jar or several smaller jars with a sealed lid and refrigerate. Store for up to 2 months or longer.

Notes

Ensure the peaches are ripe for the best flavor.
You can adjust the sugar according to your taste preference.
For a spicier twist, consider adding a cinnamon stick during cooking.
