Description

Pork Piccata delivers extraordinary flavor with minimal effort. Enjoy succulent pork chops coated in a creamy sauce of garlic, lemon, and capers—ideal for a quick yet satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • flour (for dredging)
  • 4 tablespoons butter divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice + zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon brined capers drained
  • 1/2 cup heavy/whipping cream
  • chopped parsley and/or freshly grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops on both sides with salt & pepper and garlic powder, then coat them in flour.
  2. In a skillet, melt half the butter with olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Once the skillet is hot, sear the pork chops for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown, then transfer them to a plate.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and add chicken broth, lemon juice, lemon zest, the remaining butter, and capers, scraping up brown bits from the skillet.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and return to heat until bubbling, then add the pork chops back in.
  6. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until pork is fully cooked and the sauce thickens to your preference.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and/or parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

Feel free to swap chicken broth with white wine for enhanced flavor.
For a gluten-free version, use your choice of gluten-free flour for dredging.
