Description

These Quick Dinner Rolls are fluffy and flavorful, perfect for family dinners. Crafted with simple ingredients like yeast, flour, and butter, they are easy to prepare and a delightful addition to any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water, warm (about 110 degrees F)
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar; mix and let sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add oil, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture; mix well. Gradually add 2 cups of flour, mixing with the dough hook attachment.
  3. Continue adding up to 2/3 cup flour until the dough pulls away from the bowl. Mix on low speed for about 2 minutes to knead.
  4. Cover the bowl loosely with a kitchen towel and let the dough rise for 20-30 minutes until light and puffy.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9" x 13" baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  6. Transfer dough to a floured surface and divide into 15 pieces, rolling each into a ball. Place them evenly in the baking dish.
  7. Cover loosely and let sit in a warm place for 15-30 minutes until doubled in size. Brush rolls lightly with milk before baking.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature is 190 degrees F.
  9. Allow rolls to cool for 1-2 minutes, then brush tops with melted butter.

Notes

For best results, ensure the water is at the right temperature to activate the yeast.
You can substitute avocado oil with any light oil you prefer.
These rolls are best served warm, fresh from the oven.
