Description

This Simple Peach Crisp with Oat Topping features juicy peaches combined with a buttery, crumbly topping made of oats and sugar. It’s an easy dessert that brings sweet comfort to any occasion, making it a favorite for family gatherings or a cozy night at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups peaches, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold & cubed
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a pie pan with non-stick spray and set it aside.
  2. Pit, peel, and slice the peaches to equal 5 cups and pour them into a medium-sized bowl.
  3. Stir in sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, and lemon juice with the peaches.
  4. Pour the peach mixture into the prepared pan.
  5. In a food processor, pulse together flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Then pulse in the cold, cubed butter until crumbs form. Gently pulse in the old-fashioned rolled oats.
  6. Pour the crumb mixture over the peaches in the pan.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

Feel free to substitute fresh peaches with frozen ones, though fresh are recommended for the best flavor.
Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the warm crisp for a delicious twist.
This dish is perfect for summer picnics or holiday gatherings.
