- 5 cups peaches, sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, cold & cubed
- 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a pie pan with non-stick spray and set it aside.
- Pit, peel, and slice the peaches to equal 5 cups and pour them into a medium-sized bowl.
- Stir in sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, and lemon juice with the peaches.
- Pour the peach mixture into the prepared pan.
- In a food processor, pulse together flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Then pulse in the cold, cubed butter until crumbs form. Gently pulse in the old-fashioned rolled oats.
- Pour the crumb mixture over the peaches in the pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
Feel free to substitute fresh peaches with frozen ones, though fresh are recommended for the best flavor.
Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the warm crisp for a delicious twist.
