Description

Strawberry Pretzel Salad combines a crunchy pretzel crust and a creamy filling, topped with fresh strawberries in a vibrant gelatin layer. Perfect for any gathering!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups small salted pretzels (crushed)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup salted butter (melted)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 6 oz strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Pulse pretzels and brown sugar together in a food processor until combined but still chunky.
  3. Add melted butter and pulse until moistened.
  4. Press the mixture into the bottom of a parchment-lined 8×8 baking dish and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Pour heavy cream into the mixture and beat until fully combined. Spread over the cooled crust and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  7. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water and refrigerate for about 30 minutes until thickened.
  8. Fold in sliced strawberries and pour over cream cheese layer. Chill for 2 to 4 hours until set.
  9. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

Make sure to let the pretzel crust cool completely before spreading the cream cheese mixture on top to avoid melting.
You can substitute other berries if strawberries are not available, but strawberries do add a classic flavor to this dish.
This dessert can be made a day ahead for a stress-free potluck.
