  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 28 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 15 oz cans dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 15 oz cans cannellini beans, rinsed and drained

Instructions

  • Sauté the beef, onion, and garlic until browned, then transfer to slow cooker.
  • Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, spices, and bay leaves to slow cooker.
  • Stir well and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
  • In the last hour, add the drained beans.
  • Serve hot with toppings of choice.

Adjust chili powder based on your heat preference.
