  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp whole milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉ (175℃) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together flour, ground spices, salt, and baking soda in a bowl; set aside.
  • Cream unsalted butter and light brown sugar until fluffy, then mix in egg yolks, molasses, and vanilla.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until just combined.
  • Roll dough into balls, coat with spiced sugar, and place on baking sheets.
  • Bake for 9-10 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on a wire rack.
  • Prepare icing by browning butter and mixing with powdered sugar and milk; dip cooled cookies in icing and decorate.
